Well, not technically, but it probably will be by the time you read this! It's a new month which means new free stuff and a lot of sites and new challenges and more new free stuff! Yay! Golden Girls has a new free kit out called {Sugar N' Spice}. Here's a LO I made with it:
GG also has an AWESOME new kit out called {Just For Mom} - made especially for Mother's Day. It's absolutely gorgeous! I love these colors. Of course I had to scrap a Mama page for my Cashy.
Here's a LO I did using GG's {Halli} kit. Have I mentioned how much I love GG designs? All my favorite colors!
There's another really cute (and more boyish colors) out at ScrapMatters by one of their newest designers Suzie Belle Designs. It's called {Riptide}. I love orange and blue together - so cute, uh, I mean cool. I used a template for this LO that you can get for free over at SM too!
Been doing a little scrapping lately! I managed to fill up my hard drive with digi stuff and pictures so I had to go buy myself and external hard drive today. Man my computer is SOOOOO much faster now! It doesn't take long to fill up a hard drive with digi stuff!!! Hopefully 160 GB will last me a little while! : )

Where The Heart Is
There's an awesome new collab kit at Snap and Scrap. I really like the colors of this one! Don't forget that you can get this for FREE by subscribing to the newsletter and the daily downloads on the blog. Plus if you participate in the challenges at SS during May you'll get even more! Holy cow - such a deal! If you just can't wait you can pick it up in the shoppe for only $3.50. Fun stuff! Here's my LO:
Go check it out! Also, don't forget that Saturday, May 3rd, is National Scrapbook Day and both Snap and Scrap and ScrapMatters will be having huge sales, awesome deals and fun challenges with HUGE prizes. I hope I can break away from all the craziness that happens on Saturdays with our family to play online for a while!

A little hybrid goodie
I've been wanting to try some more hybrid stuff so here's a little composition notebook I made with stuff by Britt's {Leave the World Behind} kit available here. I also used Dirty Feet Designs {Wrinkled Black Alpha} available here and the kraft paper came from the {Grateful 4U} CT appreciation kit.
Here's the back:
This was so super EASY! I just printed out the covers onto satin photo paper right here at home. I made the templates slightly larger than the actual book so that in case my next notebook is different in size it would still fit, plus I wanted to be able to trim off the edges to get a nice clean finish. After letting the pages dry for a bit I ran them through my Xyron machine and stuck them onto my book. I trimmed off the edges and found some coordinating ribbon to attach to the spine and cover the inside edge. Eventually I will glue a piece of cardstock to the insides of the covers to hide all the printing there and cover the ends of the ribbons. Done!
And I made templates so that when I make another one, it'll go lickety split! Plus, I like to share so you can download the templates for both the templates here. Enjoy! Please share what you did with the template by posting a link in the comments here. I'd love to see it!!!
**FYI**
Since the templates are larger than the actual book make sure you leave about .25 inches all around for cut off. Don't put anything important there!!!

Catalina Dreams
Well, I have a new responsibility over at Snap and Scrap. Nothing huge or anything, I'm just responsible for the blog post every Monday, which is the spotlight for the week. So I feel like I've been blogging a bunch, but I just realized that none of it was on here! Sorry! Not that I have many readers or anything. . . . : )
Here's the LO I did for the spotlight this week on a kit called {Catalina Dreams}. I has lots of fun colors and I really had fun working with it.
I've also been working on a little hybrid project - a composition album - and I'll try to take some pictures soon to post. I even made a little template in case I want to make another (which is highly likely since I make a lot of these!) I could be persuaded to share it with you if you'd like. Anyone?

Sweet Shoppe Challenges
I've been trying a few of the challenges over at Sweet Shoppe.
Here's my Recipe Challenge:
We had to use a premade page from one of the specialty sized albums (i.e. bracket, tag, brag book, etc.), some stitching, and use lots of white space. Click LO for credits.
Here's my Paper 2 Digi challenge:
Basically what the names says it is - find a paper LO online and do a digi scraplift. I scraplifted this LO by Winks.
Fun stuff over there!

Heartbroken
I'm so heartbroken - Brianne and I did not win ADSR. Ho hum. Just kidding!!! Like I ever thought we would actually win!! It was a totally random drawing and alas, we were not one of the names picked. There's always next time!!!
Here's a LO I finished for a challenge at Sweet Shoppe designs. I love this template! I used Rouge Noir - a new kit from Brianna Cox available and Snap and Scrap. I thought it was perfect for this horrible early 90's photo of Josh and I at my senior prom. Notice my HUGELY long red fingernails. What was I thinking?!!!
Good times. Bad, bad hair.

Sweet Cashy page
I just love my sweet Cashy. I've been trying to scrap some more pages for him. He has like 3 in his book - poor third child. Maddie has at least 2 full books and then some. Ryley has two as well, but not quite as stuffed as Maddie's! With as many pictures as I take of this adorable little man he should have at least 1 book! I'm workin' on it though - a momma can only do so much in a day!!! Here's my latest page. Everything is from {Little Boy Blue} by the Golden Girls available here.
I have another LO that I did this past week for a challenge at ScrapMatters but I can't post it until the challenge is up so I'll try and post it later today.
I'm teaching the digiscrapping class tonight at Enrichment - yikes! I hope I can get the projector and everything to work!! Thanks a million to Sarah who emailed me all of the stuff she used for her class - HUGE help!! I still don't have everything done for tonight and I'm getting a little stressed. I guess maybe I should be working on that instead of blogging, eh?!

Whew!
Stick a fork in us, cuz we're done!! With ADSR that it is! I got to do most of this last one, thanks Brianne, which I didn't mind. Brianne supplied the photo, the journaling about one of her major accomplishments, and the title suggestion and I got to scrap it. I used one of The Golden Girls {Timesaver Templates} so it went pretty fast! I've really been hating the drop shadow presets that come with PSE lately and I've tried bazillions of tutorials but they never seem to look right. I finally found an action that was made specifically for PSE to make a separate fully adjustable shadow layer. AWESOME!!! You can find it here. Now, I need a nap. ADSR has worn me out and I've been staying up WAY past my bedtime!

How cool is that?!
So first of all, ScrapMatters has a cool freebie up in their shop here. Second, Brittney of Britt-ish Designs used MY FONT to make part of it. How cool is that?! For those of you who care, the font is Jeni's print and you can download it over there on the right for FREE. Brittney used it on the Nemo and the Cinderella quotes. I know it's stupid but I'm totally excited that someone used my little creation. Do designers get this excited when we post our LO's using their stuff? Probably not, I doubt they're as nerdy as I am.

Yipee!
I'm so excited! I got accepted to The Golden Girls Creative Team! They were one of the very first sites I visited when I started digiscrapping. They have the cutest freebies and they give away a whole kit every month plus some other things. How great is that?! They are having a HUGE birthday party with lots of great deals and some GREAT freebies over at their website here.
This month Flower Power is FREE! Go grab it!
There's a new kit too with a free w/purchase:
Here are some LOs I made with these kits:

This is such a great site and I'm so happy to be a part of it!
You can get this badge album for FREE in the Snap and Scrap newsletter. If you haven't gotten your newsletter or can't access it for some reason please leave me a comment with your email (which I'll promptly remove) and I'll send you a copy. There are 9 pages in all including 2 journaling pages and they'll all fit on 1 sheet of cardstock for printing! I bought the ID badge holders at WalMart for about $1-$2 for a pack of 12. So STINKIN' cheap!! I'm just going to keep mine in my purse and I can see some grandmother's gifts in the future! Let me know if you want a copy!

Also, for Snap and Scrap's newsletter this month I made a cute little badge album using Melissa Wilson's {Handsome Clothes} kit. Just perfect for Easter! Here's a little preview:
