I went shopping with my little girls on Valentines Day, my 5 year old and 3 year old twins, since hubby had to work for a little bit. All was well and we were walking up and down the aisles, until my 5 year old spotted a gentleman wearing an eyepatch and screeched "LOOK MOM, A PIRATE!" as loudly as she could! I turned red faced and ducked into bras and panties with all three, but at that point it was too late and all three kept carrying on about needing to meet "Captain Pirate" -- I figure if I survived that I can survive anything!Jolenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11952327145004640624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157196748300240427.post-35936334853656622922009-02-15T01:43:00.000-06:002009-02-15T01:43:00.000-06:00I would have to say my worst Valentine's Day since...I would have to say my worst Valentine's Day since I've been married was when I was pregnant with my now 16 month old daughter. My husband gave me a big box of chocolates, which he doesn't normally do. There were several different kinds in a big heart shaped box and I was looking forward to eating them. The problem was that was when I discovered I had an aversion to chocolate during that pregnancy. I ate a couple of chocolates and then I was sooo sick I wanted to die. Even the smell of them made me nauseous. I felt bad that I didn't get to enjoy his gift, but he didn't mind because he got to eat them all.Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01821892137468340050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157196748300240427.post-38975930854771975062009-02-13T15:47:00.000-06:002009-02-13T15:47:00.000-06:00My worst Valentine's Day was about 21 years ago - ...My worst Valentine's Day was about 21 years ago - the year after my husband I met but before we got married. I thought for sure he had a big surprise planned for me because he was so SILENT about it being Valentine's Day. I put on my fancy red lingerie, a really hot little red dress, killer spike black pumps...and waited. And waited. What I didn't notice was that it was snowing. Hard snowing. My dear sweet man plowed snow for a living in the winters back then and was actually out working (pre-cell phone days)!! I was mad at myself for not noticing the snow, mad at him for not remembering Valentines Day and mad at Mother Nature for dumping the snow.PaintCrazyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04296622156862591411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157196748300240427.post-77886779191363932572009-02-13T13:25:00.000-06:002009-02-13T13:25:00.000-06:00My worst Valentine's Day was 5 years ago, 2 years ...My worst Valentine's Day was 5 years ago, 2 years before I met DH. I was dating a man and that Valentine's Day was our 3 year aniversary. I went over his house to surprise him. He wasn't home but his mom let me in and, to MY surprise, there was a puppy with a bow on its neck. I'd been hinting about one for a while so I was glad he'd listened to me. He then got home, saw me with the puppy and said that there was something he'd been meaning to tell me. He'd apparently been dating MY BEST FRIEND behind my back for the past four months and the puppy was for her. He said they'd meant to tell, but didn't want to hurt me.

Needless to say, I never spoke to either of them again and had a pretty bitter feeling against Valentine's day for a whileJenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13273273342995175294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157196748300240427.post-2501516123901947812009-02-13T13:23:00.000-06:002009-02-13T13:23:00.000-06:00The worst V Day was in High School when my boyfrie...The worst V Day was in High School when my boyfriend and I broke up a month before!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08418796176428526353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157196748300240427.post-19549994040271662472009-02-13T10:52:00.000-06:002009-02-13T10:52:00.000-06:00I don't really remember any of my miserable Va...I don't really remember any of my miserable Valentine's days before my DH and I were together - DH always makes them special. But if I had to choose, I'd say VD 2004 - my DS was due on the 12th & was therefore late. I remember having to sit through an all church mtg with horrible back pain and strange contractions thinking that I'd have to run out to the hospital at any moment. At least 7 people even had the audacity to come up and say, "You're still pregnant!" Grrr Then we had to wait 10 more days before he finally showed up.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16188089711802128486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157196748300240427.post-60305354165877579932009-02-13T10:45:00.000-06:002009-02-13T10:45:00.000-06:00I love all your new stuff!!Ugh, I had totally forg...I love all your new stuff!!

Ugh, I had totally forgotten about how bad the first Valentine's Day with DH was!! He didn't care about Valentine's Day, so he purposefully didn't get me anything while I got him a nice gift.. We actually didn't even see each other that day! But after that year and my loud complaints :), things have changed a lot and now we enjoy a special dinner and some little gifts every year. ;-)Cristinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00775074761542578031noreply@blogger.com
